Support Programs

The focus of Beginning Experience of Eastern North Dakota is a Levels program and an adult Beginning Experience Weekend. The Levels program, Level I and Level II, are 10 weeks in length, meeting once a week.
The main emphasis of Level I is to understand the grieving process and the stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
Level II participants deal with rebuilding their lives after the loss of a love relationship. The book "Rebuilding: When Your Relationship Ends" by Dr. Bruce Fisher is used as a study guide. It discusses rebuilding blocks related to the loss and help to provide an understanding of the past relationship.
The B.E. Weekend is a Friday evening to Sunday afternoon program for adults grieving the loss of a love relationship through death, divorce, or separation, who are ready to come to terms with their loss and begin to move forward with their lives. Presented by a team of persons who have suffered the loss of a loved one, they are willing to share their experience to help others. Team members lead participants through a program of presentations, personal private reflection and small group sharing. The B.E. Weekend is the core program and the foundation of the Beginning Experience ministry.
In all Beginning Experience settings, confidentiality is stressed at all times.
